Simon Lewis was invited to speak at the FSC General Assembly 2014 in Seville, Spain. The congress is held every 3 years, to continue to develop the world's most well-known timber and wood product sustainability certification scheme.

Simon spoke about the impacts of logging within the world’s last remaining intact forest landscapes. FSC agreed, by large majority (90%), to a motion promoted by Greenpeace International: FSC compliant management of logging intact forest landscapes must be much stricter to better protect the world’s last intact forests.
